Common use of STORE VISITS Clause in Contracts

STORE VISITS. In order to observe conditions existing under this Agreement and to settle grievances, representatives of the Union shall have the right to visit the stores. It is the general policy of the Union for its representatives not to visit the stores during the busy afternoon hours, Saturdays or days preceding holidays. However, upon receipt of a reported violation, a Union representative shall have the right to visit such store at any time for the purpose of investigating such violation. The Union further agrees that it will arrange with the Store Manager for such investigation of reported grievances and that any meetings between employees and Union representatives shall be limited to one (1) employee at a time and shall be conducted with the least possible interference with store operations. Such meetings shall be held on the premises in a place designated by the Store Manager. In instances where employees are working during hours that the stores are closed to the public, the Union may request a list of the employees involved, and the hours worked.
