For data submission to the Michigan Student Data System (MSDS), the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) will assign one district as the primary education providing entity (PEPE) for each student. Local data staff should refer to CEPI technical support information for PEPE issues. Operating and Resident Districts shall jointly and promptly resolve PEPE issues with MSDS.
