Common use of SUBSURFACE STRUCTURES Clause in Contracts

SUBSURFACE STRUCTURES. Before doing any work over, under, or near duct lines, vaults, subways, or other subsurface structures, the Contractor shall, at its own expense, make such arrangements for properly removing or protecting them during the progress of the work as shall be satisfactory to the owners of the structures. Any damage to such structures shall be immediately reported to the owner and to the Engineer and shall be repaired by the Contractor at its own expense to the satisfaction of the owners of the structures.
