Supplemental Family Emergency Leave. A. Upon written application to the supervisor, including a statement of reasons, a graduate student employee may be granted family emergency leave for a period not exceeding ten weeks. Such leave shall be without pay or benefits for such period. The purpose for which a graduate student employee may submit their application for family emergency leave shall be limited to major, emergency, non-medical family care needs (e.g., domestic break-up, flight from domestic abuse, unexpected arrival of a child).
