Supplemental Institution Duties and Responsibilities. Supplemental Institution Duties and Responsibilities: During the COVID-19 pandemic, participants are to have COVID-19 testing prior to entering a TX HHS facility with a letter or laboratory result confirming the negative result. Test results are acceptable if performed within two weeks of entering the TX HHS facility. Every person that comes to a TX HHS facility will be screened upon entry. The Template Updated October 20, 2020 Page | 1 screening includes symptom and travel history as well as a temperature check. Masks are required at all times. Extent of personal protective equipment (“PPE”) use will depend on the COVID-19 status of the TX HHS facility at that time or area of clinical assignment. Institution shall ensure that each participant is covered by professional liability insurance through The University of Texas System Medical Liability Benefit Plan authorized by Section 59.01 et. Seq., Texas Education Code, with limits of at least $25,000 per claim and $75,000 in the aggregate.
