Common use of Support for Rehabilitation Clause in Contracts

Support for Rehabilitation. Without detracting from the existing rights and obligations of the parties recognized in other provisions of this Agreement, the Employer and the Union agree to cooperate in encouraging employees afflicted with alcohol or drug dependency or gambling addiction to obtain a program directed to the objective of their rehabilitation. No employee shall be terminated solely for alcohol, drug or gambling dependency as the first disciplinary action.
