Suspension of Work for Safety. A Contractor may suspend all or a portion of the job to protect the life and safety of employees. In such cases, employees will be compensated only for the actual time worked; provided, however, that where the Contractor requests employees to remain at the site and be available for work, the employees will be compensated for stand-by time at their basic hourly rate of pay.
