Swinging Scaffolds. (a) A life line and safety harness shall be provided for each man on a swinging scaffold, and the men shall be required to wear the safety harness attached to the life line. The life line shall be securely fastened above the operation and shall extend a sufficient distance below to permit a safe landing. The free ends of falls shall be guarded to prevent interference with the scaffold equipment by vehicles or other moving objects. OSHA approved ropes shall be used for life lines.

  • Promotion Increases (a) Promotion salary increases shall be granted in an amount equal to 9.0% of the employee’s previous year’s base salary rate in recognition of promotion to one of the ranks described below:

  • Protective Footwear Effective January 1, 2002, and on that date for each subsequent calendar year, the Hospital will provide $80 per calendar year to each full-time and $45 per calendar year to each regular part-time employee who is required by the Hospital to wear safety footwear during the course of his duties. The employees who will be required to wear safety footwear will be negotiated locally and set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. Note: The existing central language designating the classifications of employees which are deemed to require appropriate safety footwear shall be transferred to the local appendix.

  • Protective Devices Protective devices, wearing apparel, and other equipment necessary to protect employees from injury shall be provided by the County in accordance with practices now prevailing or as such practices may be improved from time to time by the County.

  • Line Splitting 3.7.1 Line splitting allows a provider of data services (a Data LEC) and a provider of voice services (a Voice CLEC) to deliver voice and data service to End Users over the same Loop. The Voice CLEC and Data LEC may be the same or different carriers.

  • Longevity Increments 11.6.1 Each regular classified employee shall receive a two-range increase (5%) upon completion of five (5) years of satisfactory and continuous service. This increase will become effective at the beginning of the sixth year.

  • Reactivation To reactivate suspended Service, you must bring your account current through the month of reactivation by making payment in full of any outstanding balance, fees and other applicable charges. In addition, we may require a deposit before reactivating your Service. The amount of the deposit will not exceed one year of monthly fees. Any amounts deposited by you will appear on your statement as a credit, and service charges and other fees will be invoiced as described above. If you fail to pay any amount on a subsequent xxxx, the unpaid amount will be deducted each billing cycle from the credit amount. Credit amounts will not earn or accrue interest.

  • Protective Clothing & Equipment While not being part of any issue of protective clothing/equipment, the company shall be required to provide the following protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary, by employees during the performance of their required duties:
