Tay Cities Deal. The four local authorities across the Tay Cities Region, Angus, Dundee City, Fife and Perth & Kinross have been successful in their bid to win a “Cities Deal”, resulting in combined Scottish Government, UK government and private investment of £700M: The College submitted four Stage 1 project bids as lead partner and is a partner in a further 20 bids. The College has submitted bids which are strategically important for our stakeholders, the Region and which have the potential to increase regional employment, weekly wages and GVA growth above the Scottish average. We have also targeted partners who we have a strategic alignment to, in order to collaborate in their bids. This strategy has ensured that the College is involved in projects across several key industry sectors, as well as within bids focussing on the cross cutting themes of Inclusive Growth, Innovation and Internationalisation.

Tay Cities Deal. The Tay Cities Deal is still in the final decision making stages and we anticipate an outcome during Spring 2018. We are the lead organisation in two bids for capital and revenue funding through the investment process (the CyberQuarter and the Scottish Games Centre), and partners in two further bids (Brighter Lives by Design and the Centre for Food & Drink Knowledge and Innovation). . The cyberQuarter will be a cluster of academic-commercial activity - a co-location space for academia and industry, expertise in applied research and access to a range of public sector support located within the Tay Cities region to exploit the existing expertise of Abertay University in ethical hacking and the digital industries ecosystem of Dundee city. During 2017-18 we are updating our research strategy to take account of feedback from an external review and to ensure that it remains appropriate and relevant as we move towards the next REF. This also includes a new Head of Research role with clear accountability for the delivery of the research strategy. Over the period of the outcome agreement, we will continue to implement our long-term strategy to embed a research-led culture right across Abertay, underpinning everything we do in research, knowledge-exchange and especially teaching. Our strategic plan confirms our ongoing commitment to align our research innovation and knowledge exchange strategy and activity with national and local priorities. Our Graduate School plays a key role at Abertay. The University is committed to the principles of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers. All Abertay postgraduate students and researchers are given membership of the Graduate School and have access to our dedicated study and social spaces – a forum in which they can meet, work and learn with other researchers and postgraduates from across the University. The Graduate School offers an integrated training and professional development programme to enhance research excellence, impact and individual employability. It also supports the Abertay Research Community in the development of research and professional careers.   • Nasdaq National Market Listing The shares of Parent Common Stock issuable to the Company stockholders pursuant to this Agreement shall have been authorized for listing on the Nasdaq National Market upon official notice of issuance.

  • Listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market The Company will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the listing of the Public Securities on the Nasdaq Capital Market or another national securities exchange until the earlier of five (5) years from the Effective Date or until the Public Securities are no longer registered under the Exchange Act.

  • Listing on Nasdaq The Shares will be approved for listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market (“Nasdaq”) by the Closing Date, subject to official notice of issuance, and the Company has taken no action designed to, or likely to have the effect of, terminating the listing of the Securities on Nasdaq nor has the Company received any notification that Nasdaq is contemplating revoking or withdrawing approval for listing of the Securities.

  • Nasdaq National Market The Common Stock is listed on the Nasdaq National Market System, and there are no proceedings to revoke or suspend such listing.

  • Consumer Protection 1. The Parties recognize the importance of maintaining and adopting transparent and effective measures to protect consumers from fraudulent and deceptive commercial practices in electronic commerce. 2. To this end, the Parties shall exchange information on their experiences in protecting consumers engaged in electronic commerce.

  • TEACHER PROTECTION A. The teachers shall have the right to review those things in his/her personnel file to which he/she is entitled by Law. At the option of the teacher, a representative of the Association may be present for such review. Each file shall contain a record indicating reviewer and date of review, excluding school personnel official access for record maintenance. B. The teacher may submit a written notation regarding any material and the same will be attached to the file copy of the material in question. If the teacher is asked to sign material placed in his/her file, such signature will be understood to indicate his/her awareness of the material but in no instance shall said signature be interpreted to mean agreement with the content of the material. X. Any serious complaint made against a teacher by any parent, student, and other person will be promptly called to the attention of the teacher. D. If a teacher is to be disciplined or reprimanded by the Board or its designee, he/she shall be entitled to have a representative of the Association present. That representative shall be the teacher's choice between the building representative or another Association officer. E. Each teacher has the responsibility for maintaining proper student control and discipline throughout the school day as well as at school-sponsored activities where he/she is serving as a sponsor or chaperone. The teacher, however, has the primary responsibility for maintaining control and discipline in his/her classroom. The Board will give reasonable support and assistance to teachers with respect to maintenance of control and discipline. Whenever is appears that a particular pupil requires special attention, reasonable steps shall be taken to provide such attention. The teachers recognize that all disciplinary actions and methods invoked by them shall be in accordance with established Board policy. F. Any case of assault upon a teacher which is related to a school-centered problem shall be promptly reported to the Board or its designated representative. If the assault was by a pupil or pupils, the Administration shall promptly investigate the matter and determine suitable discipline for the assaulting pupil. This decision shall be communicated to the teacher concerned. If the assault is by an adult, who is not a pupil, the Board its designee representative shall promptly report the incident to the proper law enforcement authorities. G. A teacher may suspend a pupil from one (1) period, when the grossness of the offense, the persistence of the misbehavior, or the disruptive effect of the violation makes the continued presence of the student in that classroom intolerable. In such cases, the teacher will promptly (by the end of the school day) furnish the administrator or counselor full particulars of the incident. The teacher and the administration will cooperatively endeavor to achieve correction of student behavior through whatever avenues are reasonably available. H. School administrators and teachers will endeavor to achieve correction of the students' misbehavior through counseling and interviews with the child and his/her parents when warranted.

  • Wall Street Transparency and Accountability Act In connection with Section 739 of the Wall Street Transparency and Accountability Act of 2010 (“WSTAA”), the parties hereby agree that neither the enactment of WSTAA or any regulation under the WSTAA, nor any requirement under WSTAA or an amendment made by WSTAA, shall limit or otherwise impair either party’s otherwise applicable rights to terminate, renegotiate, modify, amend or supplement this Confirmation or the Agreement, as applicable, arising from a termination event, force majeure, illegality, increased costs, regulatory change or similar event under this Confirmation, the Equity Definitions incorporated herein, or the Agreement (including, but not limited to, rights arising from Change in Law, Hedging Disruption, Increased Cost of Hedging, an Excess Ownership Position, or Illegality (as defined in the Agreement)).

  • Xxxxx Disaster Protection In accordance with the requirements of the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973 (42 U.S.C. 4001), the Subrecipient shall assure that for activities located in an area identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as having special flood hazards, flood insurance under the National Flood Insurance Program is obtained and maintained as a condition of financial assistance for acquisition or construction purposes (including rehabilitation).

  • The Nasdaq Capital Market By the Effective Date, the Securities shall have been approved for trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market.
