Common use of Teachers on Pregnancy, Parental Clause in Contracts

Teachers on Pregnancy, Parental. or Adoption Leave shall not be paid a salary. The Board will pay the Teacher's benefits as per the Employment Standards Act of seventeen (17) weeks (including the 2 week waiting period) for Pregnancy and thirty- five (35) weeks for Parental or Adoption Leave. The Teacher on Pregnancy, Parental or Adoption Leave may retain membership in any plan beyond the above mentioned periods by paying full premiums applicable, subject to the rights of the insurer.
