This Article will not interfere with the right of the Employer to make such changes in methods of operation as are consistent with technological advances in the long term care field. The purpose of the following provisions is to preserve jobs and stabilize employment and to protect as many regular employees as possible from loss of employment. Any employee classified as a regular employee shall be considered displaced by technological change when their services shall no longer be required as a result of a change in plant or equipment, or a change in a process or method of operation diminishing the total number of employees required to operate the facility in which they are employed.
