Common use of Temporary Assignment of Higher Duties Clause in Contracts

Temporary Assignment of Higher Duties. An employee who is temporarily assigned duties of a higher paid position by the Executive Director, for more than two (2) consecutive days shall be paid at the start rate of the higher range, or receive a seven percent (7%) salary increase, whichever is higher. Higher duties means duties not normally assigned to the lower paid employee. To be eligible for TAHD assignment, recognition and payment, the lower paid employee must perform the assigned duties of a TAHD position as a percentage portion of the workload, the percentage which shall be as mutually agreed upon between the parties, using a threshold of twenty percent (20%) of higher duties as general guidelines to qualify, for the time periods involved, and shall apply to in-scope as well as out-of- scope assignments. This salary adjustment shall be effective on the third day of the assignment until the last day of the assignment.
