Definition of Harassment. Harassment in the workplace is defined as unwelcome conduct related to a prohibited ground of discrimination that detrimentally affects the work environment of leads to adverse job-related consequences for those experiencing harassment.
Definition of Harassment. Harassment is abusive, unfair, offensive, or demeaning treatment of a person or group of persons which has the effect, upon a reasonable person, of interfering with an individual's work, or which creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment.
(a) Sexual harassment is a type of harassment which emphasizes the sex or sexual orientation of an individual, and includes but is not limited to unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favours and other verbal, written or physical conduct of a sexual nature, whether or not they are accompanied by explicit promises or threats, made by a person who knows or ought reasonably to know that such attention is unwanted, when:
(i) submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of work; or

(iii) such conduct has the effect of creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment. Personal harassment is a type of harassment characterized by repeated, intentional, offensive comments and/or action deliberately designed to demean and belittle the individual and/or cause personal humiliation.
Definition of Harassment. Harassment means any objectionable conduct, comment, or display by a person that is directed at a worker, constitutes a threat to the health or safety of the worker, and:
1) Is made on the basis of race, creed, religion, colour, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, disability, physical size or weight, age, nationality, ancestry, or place of origin, Union activity; or
2) Is a repeated intentional, sexually oriented practice that undermines an employee's health, job performance, or workplace relationships, or endangers an employee's employment status or potential; or
3) Is an unsolicited, unwelcome, disrespectful or offensive behaviour directed at another person. These actions may be identified as repeated intentional, offensive comments and/or actions deliberately designed to demean and belittle an individual and/or to cause personal humiliation. This is intended to include personal harassment and/or bullying.

(a) For the purposes of this agreement, “harassment” means any conduct, comment or gesture related to any of the grounds stipulated in clause 14.01, which is:
(i) unwanted or may reasonably be considered as unwanted, and
(ii) offensive, humiliating, abusive, threatening, repetitive or which has adverse effects on an individual’s employment.
(b) Notwithstanding the forgoing, harassment is not necessarily limited to the thirteen (13) grounds stipulated in clause 14.01. For example, persistently bullying or berating someone, or using demeaning or patronizing language that may undermine respect in the workplace is considered harassment under this Article.
(c) Sexual harassment is considered harassment under this Article.

(d) Harassment does not include actions occasioned through exercising in good faith, the Employer's managerial/supervisory rights and responsibilities.
