Common use of Temporary Room Assignments Clause in Contracts

Temporary Room Assignments. The resident may be offered a contract for a temporary room assignment on those occasions when traditional spaces are no longer available. There are a limited number of temporary spaces. It will be indicated in the offer if the assignment is considered a temporary space. Temporary assignments may last a few weeks, several months or an entire semester before the resident is reassigned. In some instances, the temporary assignment could last the entire academic year. ORL reserves the right to assign more occupants to a room beyond the established capacity when the demand to live on campus exceeds the number of beds available. In such cases, the cost of the room will be reduced for all occupants in that temporary assignment at a predetermined rate.
