Temporary Topsoil Stockpile and Earthworks Laydown. A temporary stockpile area will be required for storage of topsoil stripped from the new ash dam and water dam compartments. The topsoil must be stockpiled to a maximum of 2 m high and include storm water diversion berms and containment barriers to prevent erosion and loss of the topsoil. The area should be fenced with access gates provided. A further earthworks lay-down area will also be required for the temporary storage and crushing/blending of materials. The area may form part of the Civil contractor’s yard but shall be as close to the footprint as possible.
