Common use of Textbooks Clause in Contracts

Textbooks. A. The Board will insure that each pupil in a classroom has textbooks for his/her own use when it is determined that it should be so as outlined in B below. B. Recognizing the statutory responsibility of the Board for the provision of textbooks and also the professional competence and skills of the staff in relation to textbook selection, the SEA and the Board agree that the determination of textbooks to be used in the schools shall be cooperatively arrived at through joint consultation among unit members and administrators, subject to final approval by the Board.
