Theater Safety i. The ATLANTA BALLET agrees that ARTISTS will not be required to rehearse or perform in any theater or other facility which is unsafe or unsanitary or which contains a floor that is not a safe floor for dance. No rehearsals or performances will be located on a concrete or marble floor or upon any other inflexible surface. ARTISTS will not be required to rehearse or perform upon any wooden floors which are directly laid over similar surfaces lacking in safe dance resiliency or on floors with irregular or uneven surfaces. ii. In contacting a presenter for a tour engagement, The ATLANTA BALLET will request a list of dance companies that have performed in the theaterin the recent past. The ATLANTA BALLET will contact up to three of those companies to ask about the construction and condition of the stage floor and theiropinion on the suitability of the stage floor for dance performances. This information will be given to the AGMA representative for approval. iii. The ATLANTA BALLET will notify the AGMA Representatives immediately upon discovery of any relevant information concerning each performing space including, but not limited to, the size, the type and condition offlooring and floor surfaces, size and condition of dressing room facilities, availability of shower facilities and the number and proximity of bathrooms. Such information shall be presented to the AGMA Representatives for all touring, community engagement, and Promotional Appearances. iv. AGMA may advise The ATLANTA BALLET of any theater that isunsafe or unsanitary or that has a floor which is unsafe or improperly constructed for dance, to the extent AGMA is aware of such condition. If The ATLANTA BALLET has concerns about the safety of a stage floor in which it intends to perform, AGMA will attempt to investigate all aspects of the stage floor in question to determine if it meets the requirements of a safe floor for dance. However, any such investigation or determination shall not relieve The ATLANTA BALLET of its responsibilities hereunder.

  • Fire Safety Resident will not tamper with fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, or exit signs. Resident will promptly evacuate Residence Facility upon the sounding of an alarm or as otherwise directed by College Housing staff. Resident will participate in any periodic fire drill and fire safety training conducted by College for the Residence Facility.

  • Electrical appliance safety The Hirer shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe, in good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is provided the hirer must make use of it in the interests of public safety.

  • OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (a) It is a mutual interest of the parties to promote health and safety in workplaces and to prevent and reduce the occurrence of workplace injuries and occupational diseases. The parties agree that health and safety is of the utmost importance and agree to promote health and safety and wellness throughout the organization. The employer shall provide orientation and training in health and safety to new and current employees on an ongoing basis, and employees shall attend required health and safety training sessions. Accordingly, the parties fully endorse the responsibilities of employer and employee under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, making particular reference to the following:
