Levels of Grievance Procedure. The following levels of grievance are 15 available to the parties: 16 a. Level One. A nurse shall discuss the grievance with her nurse 17 manager in an effort to resolve the matter informally. The grievance shall be presented 18 initially in writing specifying the section or sections of the Agreement which have allegedly 19 been violated within 21 calendar days of the time the nurse knew or reasonably should 20 have known of the occurrence of the matter. The grievance shall be handed to the 21 manager for consideration. Managers covering for an absent manager will not accept 22 grievances. In the manager’s absence, the Vice President of Human Resources or the 24 be addressed with a newly stated time frame as determined by the Vice President.
