Fire Safety. All open flames and burning embers, such as candles and incense, are prohibited. Candle warmers are also prohibited. Tampering, disabling, or destroying any smoke detector or alarm is prohibited. Students should extinguish grease fires appropriately by covering the pan with a lid or damp cloth. Fire extinguishers should not be used to extinguish a grease fire. Please report all fires no matter how small to the manager.

Fire Safety. The bus shall be maintaining with all applicable fire safety regulations under CMVR/ Bus Code for safety of CNG buses including the maintenance of piping location and layout, location of rubber hose, location of exhaust, sealing from CNG gas entering passenger compartment in case of leakage, catalytic converter location, prescribed upholstery material, fire retardant cable, connectors etc. The maintenance shall also include the use of fire-retardant material, proper maintenance of CNG leakage detection system, fire detection system, escape of gases in case of any leakage, fire walls and facility for passenger evacuation [doors, windows and escape hatches] etc. as per statutory requirements besides Bus Code. The Flammability requirements shall comply with IS 15061 as specified in CMVR. The list of the items (if fitted in the supplied bus) has been annexed as Annexure-17 for which the Flammability test standard requirements have been specified.

Fire Safety means provision for –
Fire Safety. Appropriate “HazChem” warning signs must be displayed on the outside of Property to inform fire authorities in the event of a fire. Fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment must be kept in proper working order, with current and appropriate annual trade association certifications and any requirements of us or our insurer for reducing the risk of any Insured Risk occurring are to be complied with. All fire exits or means of escape at the Property must be well maintained, lit and properly signed and kept clear and (and in the case of fire doors) unlocked while the Property is in use. This applies to fire exits or means of escape whether serving the Property only or just adjoining Property/land or both. Tyres, timber, plastics or any other combustible materials (including for example pallets, baled clothing and/or baled cardboard) must not be kept at the Property in such numbers (or stored in such a manner as) that does or may in the opinion of the Surveyor (in its absolute discretion) present a material fire risk. No fire is to be lit (including the use of braziers) at or outside the Property. Within one month of the Tenancy Start Date (or sooner as required by legislation) and thereafter for the residue of Term you must carry out / renew/update all appropriate risk assessments in relation to the Property. These include a fire risk assessment, water risk assessment, Health & Safety Risk Assessment and an emergency plan for the Property. Where relevant, risk assessments must be attached in a prominent position at the Property and visible to all employees and visitors.

Residents must abide by all disciplinary proceedings, including summonses to conferences or judicial hearings. Students are also obliged to give truthful testimony. Delivery of written notices will be considered sufficient if mailed to the student’s home address, emailed to the student’s Medaille College account, or placed in the student’s campus mailbox.  Students are obligated to respect the authority of Residential Staff and comply with any reasonable requests that are made by staff members in the performance of their duties.  The Office of Residence Life reserves the right to conduct a search of student rooms as deemed necessary in the interest of order, safety, or health of residents or to ascertain potential violations of NYS law.  Resident students are prohibited from engaging in any of the following behaviors: conduct in or about any residential unit that poses a threat to the health or safety of themselves, others, or property; behavior that interferes with the rights or well-being of others; personal actions that violate any provision of this agreement, or any rule, regulation, or policy of the college or any applicable law.
