Common use of Tier B Clause in Contracts

Tier B. The County shall provide an insurance contribution, henceforth known as Tier B, for employees starting employment with the County on or after January 1, 2007, and employees who were in Tier A and have voluntarily elected to participate in Tier B. The County contribution shall be reset annually on January 1 of each year. The County contribution amount shall be 80% of the premium amount for the health plan and level of coverage selected provided, however, that the maximum amount of the contribution shall be 80% of the premium amount for the least expensive, full coverage HMO health plan option offered by the County, for the level of coverage selected by the employee. The employee shall pay through payroll deduction any additional premium not paid by the County contribution that is required for the plan option and level of coverage selected by the employee, or the default coverage if the employee did not select another plan or waive coverage as specified under the provisions of this Agreement.
