Traffic Counts for Intersections Sample Clauses

Traffic Counts for Intersections. Another component of the multimodal traffic volume and crash data is information for intersections in the study area. This data collection and analysis may be conducted, analyzed and presented as a deliverable as a part of Task 3.1.2 above. The intersection data will be used to develop a Synchro/SimTraffic model for the corridor to determine possible intersection controls and whether the lack of a median turn lane impacts traffic flow on the corridor under existing and future (20-year) weekday PM peak conditions. The data collection plan for intersections shall, at a minimum, provide the following data: • Peak hour, classified, turning movement, pedestrian and bicycle counts at Xxxxxx/Galveston intersection and Columbia/Xxxxxx intersection. • Peak hour, classified, turning movement pedestrian and bicycle counts at: o Galveston and Federal o Galveston and 00xx Xxxxxx o Galveston and 00xx Xxxxxx To support the chartering process and the development of future year volumes, the consultant shall review the system-level function of the Galveston corridor, including factors such as traffic growth on the corridor, through-traffic dependence on the corridor relative to other bridge crossings to downtown, and sensitivity to significant land use changes in west Bend (e.g., an additional college facility). Key findings from the review will be summarized for use in the project chartering process. Assumptions: • City staff will provide an estimate of the portion of land use growth on the west-side of Bend (in the area within the Galveston corridor travel shed) that has happened from 2003 to today. Deliverables: • Create Draft and Final Technical Report for Traffic Operations Analysis at intersections. • Counts in non-proprietary electronic and hardcopy format compatible with City’s GIS platform and Multimodal Volume and Crash database.
