TRANSFERS, JOB POSTINGS AND PROMOTIONS. 9.1 Declaration of Vacancy. When the Superintendent of Schools or designee declares a vacancy in the bargaining unit, the Union will be notified and a notice of job vacancy will be e-mailed and posted on the employee bulletin board for seven (7) working days. Posting shall also be e-mailed to each member of the bargaining unit and via U.S. mail to laid-off employees. During the Summer recess period, the posting will be mailed to 10-month employees at their home address. The notice shall set forth a description of the job; the qualifications for the job; and the hours and shift and rate of compensation. Employees who possess the ability and qualifications may bid on such jobs during the seven (7) working days the notice is posted on the employee bulletin board and no bid after the expiration date of the seven working days will be considered in filling the vacancy.
