Travel Time Defined. For the purposes of Article 30.01(b), 30.02(b) and 30.03(b), travel means travel on the employer’s business, by land, sea or air and authorized by the director/manager, to perform duties assigned to him/her by the director/manager and during which the employee is required to travel outside his/her normal work period. Exemptions from travel time include, but are not limited to, sleep time, meal breaks and rest periods.
