Common use of Travel To and From Distant Work Clause in Contracts

Travel To and From Distant Work. (i) An employee travelling to or from a location where Distant Work is undertaken shall be: - (a) Paid at a rate set out in the Table in clause 18 A for a period of up to 8 hours per day while travelling to the site location, or home from the location. (b) Reimbursed for any fares, meals, or any other expenses reasonably incurred in the travelling. (ii) An employee undertaking Distant Work shall be permitted to return to his or her home during a period of distant work. Where an employee does return to his or her home the travel shall be undertaken in the employees own time.
