Distant Work. Employees who are in receipt of Living Away from Home Allowance will be eligible for the allowances provided for in this clause, subject to Appendix H– Living Away from Home Allowance.
Distant Work. An employee sent from his or her usual locality to another (in circumstances other than those prescribed in 5.9.4(a) hereof) and required to remain away from his or her usual place of abode will be paid travelling time whilst necessarily travelling between such localities, and expenses whilst so absent from his or her usual locality.
Distant Work. 14.3.1 When Employees are employed on a job at such a distance from their usual places of residence that they cannot reasonably return to those residences each night the Company will either: • Provide adequate meals and accommodation; or • Where employees are provided with accommodation by the Company but where meals are not supplied, an allowance of $35 per day will be paid to cover the cost of meals and incidentals, and no further allowances will be payable. This allowance will not be paid at weekends where an employee returns home.
14.3.2 The arrangement will be agreed prior to the commencement of the distant work.
Distant Work. When Employees are employed on a job at such a distance from their usual places of residence that they cannot reasonably return to those residences each night the Company will either: • Provide adequate meals and accommodation; or • Where employees are provided with accommodation by the Company but where meals are not supplied, an allowance of $35 per day will be paid to cover the cost of meals and incidentals, and no further allowances will be payable. This allowance will not be paid at weekends where an employee returns home. The arrangement will be agreed prior to the commencement of the distant work. Where an Employee is directed to use their own vehicle to travel to distant work they will be paid an allowance of $0.41 per km. Where an Employee is directed to use public transport to distant work, economy class fares will be provided. Where an Employee is required to use their own vehicle to effect a transfer from one job to another they shall be paid an allowance of $0.77 cents per km.
Distant Work. 24.1. Employees requested by the company to work on distant projects, will either be provided with reasonable board or lodging, or be paid an appropriate allowance.
24.2. There will be appropriate consultation and a reasonable approach adopted by all parties as to whether reasonable board and lodging or relevant allowance will be paid. It is agreed that employees will not be financially disadvantaged and will be fully compensated for agreed expenses.
24.3. Where reasonable board and lodging is to be provided by the company arrangements will be made by the company prior to their commencement on site.
24.4. It is acknowledged by the parties that the company is under no obligation to offer distant work to current employees. Whilst the company may intend to use current employees on country projects, the contractual obligations relevant to the use of local labour and the company’s competitiveness will be the determining factor.
Distant Work. Employee/s required to remain away from their usual place of abode on distant work shall be paid a Living Away From Home Allowance in accordance with Schedule 2 of Appendix A, as well as an allowance in accordance with Schedule 2 of Appendix A for each meal taken whilst travelling in relation to distant work.
Distant Work. Distant work is work that is at such a distance from the Employee’s usual place of residence that they are unable to reasonably travel to and from their residence each day. For the purpose of this clause, and before accepting distant work, the Employee shall declare their usual place of residence.
Distant Work. When an employee is required to travel from his/her normal place of employment or his/her normal place of residence to a distant job (as defined) the employee will be reimbursed for all travelling expenses incurred. The mode of travel will be as directed by the enterprise provided the comfort of the employee will be of a standard not less than that of second class travel. All time spent in travelling from the normal place of employment or the employee’s normal place of residence to the distant job will be paid at the ordinary time rate of pay up to a maximum of eight hours in any one day. Where the employee is not accommodated on the actual site of the distant job his/her place of accommodation will become the centre as defined by A.7.3.7 and fares and travelling time will be paid as prescribed by A.7.3.1 and A.7.3.5 of this clause.
Distant Work. Employees will be paid at loaded weekday rate for reasonable time spent travelling to and return from distant work. The company will offer transport free of charge to employees travelling to distant work. Where an employee is directed to use their own vehicle to travel to distant work they will be paid an allowance of 41 cents per km. Where an employee is directed to use public transport to distant work, economy class fares will be provided. Where an employee is required to use their own vehicle to effect a transfer from one job to another they shall be paid an allowance of 77 cents per km.
Distant Work. General - An employee required to work in a locality other than their usual locality and required to remain away from their usual place of abode shall be paid travelling time whilst necessarily travelling between such localities.
(a) Where employees are required to remain away from their usual place of abode overnight the employer shall supply suitable board and sleeping accommodation or pay to employees an allowance of $40 per day. Where the employer does not supply suitable board and sleeping accommodation the employer shall pay such reasonable expenses as can be substantiated by the employee which exceed the daily allowance taking into account the locality involved. Whenever practicable, the matters of suitable accommodation and reasonable expenses are to be agreed before the travel occurs.
(b) Where an employee returns home for a weekend and/or part of a weekend during rostered time off and does not absent themselves from the job for any of the scheduled working hours, no reduction of the allowance in clause 30.1.1 shall be made.
(c) Employees in camps - Where in the performance of their work employees are obliged to live in camp, they shall be paid at the rate of $96.60 per week of 7 days in addition to the rates prescribed, and tents with suitable flys and suitable wooden flooring or other weatherproof accommodation, stretchers, camp and cooking utensils shall be supplied free of charge by the employer, and the erection of all such camps shall be done in the employer's time, but the employee shall be liable for damage done to such accommodation, tents, wooden flooring, stretchers, camp and cooking utensils wilfully or by reason of negligence .
