Common use of Union Sheet Committee Clause in Contracts

Union Sheet Committee. The suggestions of the appointed Union representatives (Sheet Committee) as to the construction of the running sheets will be adopted as far as possible provided: (a) the completion of the running sheet will not be unduly delayed, and (b) the Employer reserves the final decision as to whether a Union suggestion is adopted or rejected. A Sheet Committee consisting of two (2) employees will be appointed by the Union and the Employer and the Union shall share equally the straight-time wages of Union Sheet Committee representatives for time spent at sheet inspection. Sheet inspection will not be delayed if a regular Sheet Committee member is unavailable. An alternate will replace the regular Sheet Committee member. The Sheet Committee will be provided with such documents as are necessary to examine the composition of the running sheets for sign-up as per applicable Agreement Articles re: construction of running sheets. The Employer will provide information on changes in new running sheets and draft paddles to the Sheet Committee, where possible two weeks and in no case less than one week prior to sheet examination.
