Common use of Union's Responsibility Clause in Contracts

Union's Responsibility. ‌ Should any activity prescribed in Section 1 of this Article occur, which the Union has or has not sanctioned, the Union shall immediately: (a) Publicly disavow such action by the employees or other persons involved. (b) Advise the employer in writing that such action has not been caused or sanctioned by the Union. (c) Notify the employees stating that it disapproves of such action instructing all employees to cease such action and return to work immediately. (d) Take such other steps as are reasonably appropriate to bring about observance of the provisions of this Article, including compliance with reasonable requests of the City to accomplish this end.
