USE OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED EIA REPORTS. 6.1.1 No previous EIA report has been submitted or approved for the Project.
USE OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED EIA REPORTS. 6.1.1 The following reports are relevant and will be referred to in the EIA. Other relevant information would also be considered and documented in the EIA where applicable.
USE OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED EIA REPORTS. 6.1.1 Reference has been made to the ‘Modifications to MTRC TST Station Environmental Impact Assessment’ report, dated May 2001. Due to the similar type of modification works carried out in the TST MTR Station, sound power levels of some silenced equipment employed in

USE OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED EIA REPORTS. Most of the potential environmental impacts arising from this Project have been assessed in the approved EIA Report for Ngong Ping STP and Sewerage (EIAO Register No. AEIAR- 065/2002) and the Environmental Assessment for the Project Profile of Xxxxx Xxxx Sewage Treatment Works and Sewerage - Effluent Export Pipeline from Ngong Ping Sewage Treatment Plant to Xxxx Xxx, including air quality impact, noise impact, water quality impact, waste management implications, cultural heritage impact, ecological impact, landscape and visual impact, and environmental monitoring and audit.
USE OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED EIA REPORTS. 6.1.1 Reference would be made to previously approved EIA reports of similar nature during the course of the EIA study: • AEIAR-169/2015 - Drainage Improvement Works at Ngong Ping • AEIAR-108/2007 - Drainage Improvement in Northern New Territories - Package C • AEIAR-093/2002 - Drainage Improvements in Southern Lantau
6.1.2 Details of the approved EIA reports, the findings and their relevance to this Project is summarized in the Table 6.1 below. AEIAR-169/2015 Drainage Improvement Works at Ngong Ping 21 April 2013 Air Quality, Noise, Water Quality, Ecology, Landscape and Visual Impact, Cultural Heritage, Waste Management The project involved drainage improvement works to enhance the capacity of the drainage system to reduce the flood risk in Ngong Ping. The project consists of natural and semi-natural streams including engineered sections similar to this Project. The impacts on water quality associated with the construction such as site run-off, disturbance to water courses, sewage from workforce, etc. and operation of the project and recommended mitigation measures would be of relevance. AEIAR-108/2007 Drainage Improvement in Northern New Territories - Package C 9 July 2007 Air Quality, Noise, Water Quality, Waste Management, Ecology, Landscape and Visual Impact, Cultural Heritage This project involved drainage improvement works to reduce flooding risk in Northern New Territories. The drainage improvement works comprise the construction of drainage channels and associated works of similar nature to this Project. The project is also located in the same Northern New Territories area. The impacts on water quality associated with the construction such as site run-off, disturbance to water courses, sewage from workforce, etc. and operation of the project and recommended mitigation measures could be of relevance. In particular, the impacts from excavation of the channel and the use of containment structures for mitigation would be considered. AEIAR-093/2002 Drainage Improvements in Southern Lantau 5 December 2005 Air Quality, Noise, Water Quality, Waste Management, Ecology, Cultural Heritage This project involved similar drainage improvement works to reduce flooding risk. The affected watercourses are generally lowland stream and tributary consisting of natural and semi-natural sections similar to this Project. The impacts on water quality associated with the construction such as site run-off, general construction, sewage from workforce, and river channel excava...
USE OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED EIA REPORTS. No previous EIA Reports have been submitted that cover the proposed works area.
USE OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED EIA REPORTS. 6.1.1 In terms of the decommissioning method and the size of the incinerator involved, the nature of this project is found to be similar to the following approved Project Profiles: Decommissioning of Clinical Waste Incinerators and Associated Chimneys at the Min Block of Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxxx Eastern Hospital, Xxxx Xxx, Hong Kong (Project Profile ref. PP-521/2015, DEP’s decision ref. DIR-240/2015 and Environmental Permit ref. EP-498/2015) Decommissioning and Disposal of incinerator at Xxx Xxxx Hospital (Project Profile ref. DIR-186/2009, DEP’s decision ref. DIR 186/2009 and Environmental Permit ref. EP- 374/2009) Decommissioning and Disposal of Clinical Waste Incinerator at Wai Oi Block of Caritas Medical Centre (Project Profile ref. PP-312/2007, DEP’s decision ref. DIR- 149/2007 and Environmental Permit ref. EP-278/2007) Decommission and Disposal of Clinical Waste incinerator at Xxxx Xxxx Kin Hospital (Project Profile ref. PP-180/2002, DEP’s decision ref. DIR-074/2002 and Environmental Permit ref. EP-154/2003) Decommissioning of a Clinical Waste Incinerator at Pok Oi Hospital (Project Profile ref. PP-150/2001, DEP’s decision ref. DIR-062/2001 and Environmental Permit ref. EP-117/2002)
6.1.2 The above Project Profiles shall serve as references for this Project at ex-Xxx Xxx Hospital. The findings of these Project Profiles suggested that it was not necessary to carry out a full-scale EIA Study for the decommissioning of the clinical waste incinerator at the respective hospitals.
