Noise Impact Sample Clauses

Noise ImpactThe Consultants shall follow the criteria and guidelines for evaluating and assessing noise impact as stated in Annexes 5 and 13 of the TM, respectively. The noise impact assessment shall include the following:

Noise Impact. 11.6.1 The construction noise impacts associated with the Project as well as the concurrent projects were identified and assessed. In the absence of mitigation measures, results indicated that no adverse construction noise impact would be expected at the representative noise assessment points. Appropriate good site practices are proposed to further ameliorate the construction noise impacts.
Noise Impact. 4.3.1.1 Noise monitoring is recommended for the construction phase of the Project to ensure compliance with the daytime construction noise criterion. The implementation of the recommended mitigation measures for daytime construction activities should also be audited weekly as part of the EM&A programme. Construction noise levels will be measured in terms of the 30-minute A-weighted equivalent continuous sound pressure level (Leq) for the time period between 0700 and 1900hours before and during the construction period. 4.3.1.2 Baseline monitoring will be conducted to determine the existing noise level prior to commencement of construction works. Construction noise monitoring will be carried out weekly at representative noise monitoring stations (residential uses). Action Level or Limit Level for the monitoring is considered to be triggered in case of the receipt of a noise complaint or an exceedance of the noise criteria stipulated in the EIAO-TM. If noise exceedance is recorded, additional noise monitoring will be conducted in accordance with the Event and Action Plan. The monitoring shall be considered complete if the exceedance has been rectified or proved to be from sources other than the Project construction works.
Noise ImpactThe proposed stormwater pumping station will have potential noise impacts during both the construction and operational phases. During the construction phase, potential construction air- borne noise impacts may be generated due to the use of powered mechanical equipment (PME) for various works activities including site clearance, excavation works and construction of the pump station. Potential noise impacts during the operational phase will be related to fixed noise from the pump set.
Noise Impact. The following good site practices are recommended and have been incorporated into the Contract Specification : Good site practices and noise management would considerably reduce the impact of construction activities on nearby areas. The following package of measures should be followed during each phase of construction : • Only well-maintained plant should be operated on-site and plant should be serviced regularly diring the construction program; • Silencers or mufflers on construction equipment should be utilised and should be properly maintained during the construction program; • Machines and plant (such as trucks) that may be in intermittent use should be shut down between work periods or should be throttled down to a minimum; and • Material stockpiles and other structures should be effectively utilised, wherever practicable, in screening noise from on-site construction activities.
Noise Impact. Prepare a qualitative discussion per Tasks 2 & 3 for the potential noise impacts to receptors for each of the ‘build’ alternatives.
Noise Impact. I. The Consultants should review and incorporate the findings of relevant previous studies/surveys and collate all available information on the noise impact of the territory. II. The Consultants shall carry out a quantitative noise impact assessment for the preferred option(s). The assessment shall include road traffic noise, fixed noise sources, railway noise, aircraft noise, helicopter noise and marine traffic noise impact assessment and the examination of compliance with relevant noise criteria at representative existing and planned noise sensitive receivers (NSRs). The Consultant shall conduct the road traffic noise assessment by using 3D traffic noise mapping model to examine the acceptability and performance of the proposals of the preferred option(s). The Consultants shall recommend feasible broad noise planning and mitigation measures with supporting quantitative noise impact assessment at representative locations to substantiate the effectiveness of the proposed noise mitigation measures and that the recommended options of the Study could comply with the relevant noise criteria. III. The Consultants shall also review the baseline conditions and examine how they would be affected by the preferred option(s). In particular, the Consultants shall, with use of 3D traffic noise mapping model, define and present the compliance margins under the baseline conditions and the changes/improvement to the margins caused by the preferred option(s) with the proposed noise mitigation measures.

Noise ImpactIn order to alleviate the construction noise impacts on the affected NSRs, the following mitigation measures are recommended, and should be incorporated into Contract Specifications: ▪ Good site practices; and ▪ Use of quieter PME
Noise Impact. All representative existing NSRs identified within 300m from Project Boundary can be protected from the construction noise of PME with proper implementation of mitigation measures. The protected NSRs includes residents, place for worship and elderly centre along Kam Tin Road and Xxx Xxx Road. Direct noise mitigation measures such as LNRS and vertical noise barrier are evaluated to minimize the operation noise impact from road traffic. The benefited NSRs includes residents and planned residential areas, place for worship and elderly centre along Kam Tin Road and Xxx Xxx Road.
Noise Impact. 4.5.1 The demolition activities are not expected to give rise to any significant noise impacts as the demolition of incinerator, flue, chimney and associated ductworks will be taken inside the Extension Block and a covered structure, using hand tools and small powered tools. It is unlikely that the demolition activities would affect the nearby NSRs. All demolition works will only be carried out between 07:00 and 19:00 on any day. If any use of power mechanical equipment between 19:00 and 07:00 on weekdays and any time on Sundays and Public Holidays, a construction noise permit will be applied from EPD. 4.5.2 As the amount of waste generated from the demolition activities is limited and the duration is short, the traffic flow of nearby roads is not expected to be significantly affected by the additional traffic generated. The issue of road traffic noise on nearby NSRs is not significant.
