Utility Data Analysis. This option is based on long-term, continuous, whole-building utility meter, facility level, or sub-meter energy (or water) data. Savings are determined from analysis of baseline and reporting period energy data. Typically, regression analysis is conducted to correlate with and adjust energy use to independent variables such as weather, but simple comparisons may also be used. Savings calculations use regression analysis of utility meter data to account for factors that drive energy use. Adjustments to models are typically required.
