Transfer request forms shall be available to all teachers in their buildings or District office. Use of the form shall not be prejudicial to the teacher‘s professional standing. As vacancies occur, a teacher may request consideration for transfer by completing a Certificated Transfer Request Form and submitting it to Human Resources within seven (7) days of the announcement of the vacancy. During the summer vacation period, the request for transfer form may be submitted by a teacher‘s designee. In the event the principal is unavailable at the time a teacher or designee submits a request for transfer form during the summer vacation period, the District shall waive the requirement for the principal‘s signature. Teachers will be considered for an interview according to the certification required, and the specific requirements of the position as listed in the vacancy announcement. Teachers not meeting the minimum requirements of the vacancy shall be notified in writing by Human Resources when an interview was not granted.
