Common use of Vacation and Bereavement Leave Clause in Contracts

Vacation and Bereavement Leave. An employee who is on vacation at the time of a bereavement for which the employee is entitled to three (3) or five (5) days bereavement leave shall not have their vacation credits reduced for such absence. The period of the vacation so displaced shall be either added to the employee's vacation period or reinstated to the employee to be taken as vacation at a later date, as mutually agreed between the employee and the supervisor.
