Vacation Dates. Normally vacations must be taken each year between the dates falling one week after school closes for the summer vacation and one week before school reopens in the fall, unless approval is granted for a different time by the supervising administrator; however, an employee with three or more weeks may choose to arrange for part of his/her vacation during school-year breaks. In case of conflict on vacation dates requested, priority shall be granted on a seniority basis. Vacation requests beyond two weeks must receive advance approval by the Superintendent or his/her designee.

Vacation Dates. Employees will be allowed to use ten (l0) days (two weeks) of their allotted vacation in periods of less than one (1) full week. Operators assigned to Saturday work may use a maximum of three (3) of the allotted ten (10) vacation days on Saturday. Employees who request such vacation time must do so at least five (5) days in advance, excluding weekends, except in cases of emergency where it is not possible to give advance notice and permission is granted by the Transit Manager.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Vacation Days Employee shall be entitled to the same paid vacation days each calendar year during the term of this Employee Agreement as authorized by the Company for its other employees.

  • Vacation During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the most favorable plans, policies, programs and practices of the Company and its affiliated companies as in effect for the Executive at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as in effect generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service.
