Vacation/PTO. 16 PTO utilized for vacation, as with all other time off, must, except in 17 unusual circumstances, be requested in writing in advance of the time 18 off desired, and approved or denied in writing within ten (10) calendar 19 days of receipt of the request by the Department Manager Supervisor. 20 Nurses may request, and take, up to fourteen (14) consecutive 21 vacation days off. Any request for vacation days in excess of fourteen 22 (14) days may be granted in an equitable manner by mutual 23 agreement of the nurse and the Department Manager supervisor 24 when hospital staffing and unit needs allow for such leave to occur 25 including during peak vacation periods described below.
