Common use of Vacation Upon Termination Clause in Contracts

Vacation Upon Termination. General Unit employees who terminate their employment with the City shall be paid for all accrued vacation, if any. In the event of the death of an employee, payment shall be made to the estate of such employee if probate of the estate is contemplated. If probate or administration of the employee's estate is not contemplated, the City may, at its option, pay said sum to a surviving spouse, or to such other person or persons as the employee shall have designated in writing to the City prior to his/her death.
