Leave Sharing The SPS agrees to maintain a leave sharing plan that conforms to law. Shared leave will be used only for the purpose of maintaining salary and insurance benefits. The length of time a position is held for the employee’s return will not be extended by the use of shared leave.
Funeral/Bereavement Leave In the event of death in the immediate family of an employee, the employee will be granted leave of absence with pay, with consideration given to travel time for the purpose of attending the funeral. Sick Leave Transfer The Board will honor written requests from a bargaining unit member to donate one or more sick leave days from the donor’s accumulated sick leave to a member under the following conditions:
JOB SHARING 20.01 Job sharing is defined as an arrangement whereby two or more nurses share the hours of work of what would otherwise be one full-time position. If the Hospital and the Union agree to a job sharing arrangement, the introduction or discontinuance of such job sharing arrangements will be determined locally.
SICK LEAVE AND BEREAVEMENT LEAVE Section 1. a. Employees shall be eligible to use paid sick leave after 30 calendar days of service with the Employer. Employees shall earn sick leave as of their date of hire in accordance with the following schedule: Maximum Sick Leave Entitlement Per Year Sick Leave will be 37.5 Hr. Workweek: 82.5 Hrs. (11 days) earned at the rate of 40 Hr. Workweek: 88 Hrs. (11 days) 4.24% of all Regular Hours Paid
Childcare Leave 3.1 An employee shall be entitled to use ten (10) days of sick leave per year for childcare.
