Common use of Variation and Cancellation of Parental Leave Clause in Contracts

Variation and Cancellation of Parental Leave. F.4.8.1 Without extending an entitlement beyond the limit set by F.5.3, parental leave may be varied as follows : 1. The leave may be lengthened once by the employee giving the employer at least 14 days notice in writing starting the period by which the employee requires the leave to be lengthened; or 2. The leave may be lengthened or shortened by agreement between the employer and the employee.
