Verification of Certification. If the City has reason to doubt the validity of the medical certification provided by the employee, the City may require second and third medical opinions in accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. The City shall bear the cost of such opinions. Additionally, the City may require subsequent re-certifications from the employee on a reasonable basis.
