VETERANS PARTICIPATING IN MILITARY FUNERAL CEREMONIES. A. Employees who are veterans may be granted administrative leave not to exceed four contiguous hours in any workday to enable them to participate as active pallbearers or as members of firing squads or guards of honor in funeral ceremonies for members of the Armed Forces of the United States whose remains are returned from abroad for final interment in the United States, subject to applicable law and regulation.
