Waterproof concrete. Wherever waterproof concrete is shown on the drawings it shall be mix 1:1.5:3 nominal and it shall be compacted by mechanical vibration so that a dense and homogeneous mass of concrete is obtained throughout every pour of the structure. The Contractor shall be allowed at his own cost to add an approved waterproofing additive to the mix using it strictly according to makers‟ instructions. Specification Concrete Work F.37 Waterproof concrete (Cont‟d.) All permanent construction joints shall be constructed in accordance with the drawings and specifications to achieve complete water tightness. It shall be the Contractor‟s responsibility to ensure that all structures required to be constructed in waterproof concrete are completely watertight and any work found to be defective shall be made good to the Architect‟s satisfaction at the Contractor‟s expenses. Where waterproof concrete forms a water retaining structure it is to be tested by filling with water for a period of not less than four days. Any percolation or porous concrete or leaking joint is to be made good at the Constructor‟s expense. Tanks and pools constructed below ground level are not to be backfilled prior to the satisfactory completion of this test.

Waterproof concrete. Immediately after applying the above slush coat, apply 50 mm, thick concrete, consisting of the following :  One part of fresh Ordinary Portland Cement.  Two parts of clean coarse sand.  Three Parts of grit ( 12 mm)  kg.Metalcrete No.2 or its equivalent per bag of cement. Mix the above material in given proportion in dry condition so as to distribute metalcrete No. 2 or its equivalent evenly and mix the same with a solution made of 1 part of Bondex or its equivalent, added to 8 parts of water. Prepared concrete shall be laid in uniform thickness of 38 mm and after compaction of concrete; the surface shall be trowelled with wooden template. Op surface of concrete should be roughened for proper bond to receive finishing mortar (12mm thick) made as stated in water proof plaster (Operation No.2). Fillets all around the corners shall be provided simultaneously with the bottom concrete. Finish the surface with trowel. The finished surface after 24 hours shall be kept under water for 7 days.

  • Smoke Detectors At Owner's expense, smoke detectors will be installed on the Property in working condition in accordance with the law prior to the tenant's occupancy. During the occupancy, it shall be the tenant's responsibility to maintain all smoke detectors. Owner will replace smoke detector equipment as needed.

  • Dewatering (a) Where the whole of a site is so affected by surface water following a period of rain that all productive work is suspended by agreement of the Parties, then dewatering shall proceed as above with Employees so engaged being paid at penalty rates as is the case for safety rectification work. This work is typically performed by Employees engaged within CW1, CW2 or CW3 classifications. When other Employees are undertaking productive work in an area or areas not so affected then dewatering will only attract single time rates. (b) Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, appropriate Employees shall assist in the tidying up of their own work site or area if it is so affected. Where required, appropriate Employees will be provided with the appropriate PPE. Such work to be paid at single time rates. Productive work will continue in areas not so affected. (c) To avoid any confusion any ‘dewatering’ time which prevents an Employee from being engaged in their normal productive work is not included in any calculation for the purposes of determining whether an Employee is entitled to go home due to wet weather (refer clauses 32.4 and 32.5)

  • Moonlighting Employment as a physician in a professional capacity outside of what is outlined in this Agreement, whether temporary special medical activity (“TSMA”) or external moonlighting, must be approved in writing, in advance, by the Departmental Chair, Program Director and Director of Graduate Medical Education (or designee). Even if approved, professional and general liability insurance as outlined in Section 5.4 is not provided to Trainee engaged in external moonlighting. Trainee acknowledges he or she has the responsibility to obtain insurance for such engagement. TSMA and external moonlighting must be included and reported as part of Trainee's hours spent on clinical experience and education. Trainee shall not be required to engage in any outside work.
