We believe. The preparation of future teachers is the responsibility of the entire educational community: school-based practitioners; school site; district office; and those in higher education. The teaching profession is an agent for positive change in a democratic society. A systematic, rigorous, cooperative approach to supporting and preparing teachers is more effective than an episodic approach. Responsibilities and resources must be shared between the College and SCHOOL NAME. It is important for College personnel to know and understand the goals of SCHOOL NAME, and it is important for SES teachers and administration to know and understand the goals of the College and how each can simultaneously advance the educational mission of both entities. THE UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO-COEUR D’ALENE RESOURCES: Students enrolled in teacher education courses with the University of Idaho. Faculty supervision of SPECIFY PLACEMENT TYPE; the faculty supervisors shall be employees of the University of Idaho. SCHOOL NAME RESOURCES: Cooperating in-service teachers to work with College SPECIFY PLACEMENT TYPE candidates. A suitable classroom space for instructing College teacher education classes if mutually agreed upon. Administrative support and cooperation. IT IS MUTUALLY UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES THAT: PARTICIPATION IN SIMILAR ACTIVITIES: This agreement in no way restricts SCHOOL NAME or the College from participating in similar activities with other public or private agencies, organizations and individuals. COMMENCEMENT/EXPIRATION/TERMINATION: This MOU takes effect upon the signature of SCHOOL NAME and the College and shall remain in effect for the 2014-15 academic year from the date of execution. This MOU may be extended or amended upon written request of either SCHOOL NAME or the College and the subsequent written concurrence of the other. Either party may terminate this MOU with a 90-day written notice to the other. RESPONSIBILITIES OF PARTIES: SCHOOL NAME and the College, and their respective agencies and offices, will handle their own activities and utilize their own resources, including the expenditure of their own funds, in pursuing these objectives. Each party will carry out its separate activities in a coordinated and mutually beneficial manner.
