Common use of Weekend Schedules Clause in Contracts

Weekend Schedules. The Medical Center will continue its current policy of scheduling every other weekend off for Full-Time and Part-Time Nurses unless a nurse agrees voluntarily to work more frequent weekends in writing. Nurses will not be scheduled for consecutive weekends without their consent. If the Medical Center determines based on operational and patient care needs (provided that such discretion is not exercised arbitrarily) that weekend work can be less frequent than every other weekend, such schedules are permitted by this Agreement.
