Weekly break. Except where otherwise agreed by the local parties, employees shall have an uninterrupted break of at least thirtyfive hours during each period of seven days (weekly break). As far as possible, the weekly break should be scheduled during weekends. Temporary exemptions from the first paragraph may be made if they are made necessary by some specific situation, which could not be foreseen by the em- ployer.

  • Early Contract Termination The State may terminate this contract in whole or in part by giving fifteen (15) days written notice to the Purchaser when it is in the best interests of the State. If this contract is so terminated, the State shall be liable only for the return of that portion of the initial deposit that is not required for payment, and the return of unapplied payments. The State shall not be liable for damages, whether direct or consequential.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Coffee Breaks An employee will be allowed a coffee break not in excess of fifteen (15) minutes without loss of pay in the first half shift and a coffee break not in excess of fifteen (15) minutes without loss of pay in the second half shift.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer.

  • Meal Break a) Employees who work for more than five continuous hours are entitled to an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes each day.

  • Meal Breaks (a) An employee who works in excess of five hours will be entitled to an unpaid meal break of not less than 30 minutes and not more than 60 minutes.
