Long Term Disability Benefit In the event an employee, while covered under this plan, becomes totally disabled as a result of an accident or a sickness, then, after the employee has been totally disabled for seven (7) months, including periods approved in Section 1.3(a) and (c), he/she shall be eligible to receive a monthly benefit as follows:
Disability Retirement If, as a result of your incapacity due to physical or mental illness, You shall have been absent from the full-time performance of your duties with the Company for 6 consecutive months, and within 30 days after written notice of termination is given You shall not have returned to the full-time performance of your duties, your employment may be terminated for "Disability." Termination of your employment by the Company or You due to your "Retirement" shall mean termination in accordance with the Company's retirement policy, including early retirement, generally applicable to its salaried employees or in accordance with any retirement arrangement established with your consent with respect to You.
Short Term Disability Benefits Paragraph 1: The Board shall provide short term disability benefits as set forth in the Short Term Disability Summary Plan Description. Short term disa- bility benefits for disabilities resulting from non-occupational illness or injury, shall be paid at the rate of 70% of the teacher’s regular daily rate, subject to all applicable deductions. A teacher may choose to save up to five (5) accumulat- ed temporary leave days. Following the exhaustion of temporary leave, there is a five day waiting period before short term disability benefits begin. The five day waiting period will be waived for absences greater than 30 calendar days and short term disability payments shall be paid retroactively.
Long-Term Disability (Employee Paid Plans)
Disability If, as a result of the Executive's incapacity due to physical or mental illness, the Executive shall have been absent from his duties with the Company on a full-time basis for six months and within 30 days after written notice of termination is thereafter given by the Company the Executive shall not have returned to the full-time performance of the Executive's duties, the Company may terminate this Agreement for "Disability."
Disability Income Protection 3.4.1 The District shall maintain a policy of disability income protection for tenured and tenure-track faculty working fifty percent (50%) or more of a regular, full-time workload. The District’s Disability Income Protection Program is not available for employees who are hired in long-term temporary positions as defined in Article 2.4.4.
Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL) - An employee is eligible for continuation of MPS in accordance with applicable law.
Duty Disability (1) For Calendar Year 2018, 2019, and 2020 Depending on the individual's single/family enrollment status, the cost of coverage for individuals receiving a duty disability retirement allowance shall be as provided in subsection 3.a.(1) of this Article, above.
Pregnancy Disability Leave A. Leave for pregnancy or childbirth related disability is in addition to any leave granted under FMLA or WFLA.
