Winter Shifts for Highway Maintenance Crews. (a) The Union and the Employer recognize that the implementation for highway maintenance winter shifts is largely dependent on winter conditions and that shifts may have to be implemented on short notice. (b) However, it is agreed that wherever possible the notice of these shift schedules should be given at least thirty (30) days prior to anticipated commencement and that fifteen (15) days should be provided for any sign-up and selection process which is required. (c) Winter work schedules for regular employees shall be posted at least fourteen (14) days in advance of the starting day of the work schedule. (d) An employee's paycheque will not be reduced beyond his normal biweekly amount.
