Work Days When Students Are. Not In Attendance 1. The main purpose of work time on days when students are not in attendance is for professional development, teacher planning and preparation for instruction and/or school improvement. 2. Meetings, in-service and other non-teacher directed time during non-student days shall be well planned, designed to communicate vital information about school operation or improvement and implemented in such a manner as to maximize time for teacher directed use in planning and preparation for instruction. 3. Teachers shall be provided at least one hour to eat lunch on days when students are not in attendance. At their discretion, teachers may leave campus during said meal time.
