WORK HOURS, WORK DAYS, CANCELLATION. 6.1 HOURS, BREAKS Work schedules, regularly assigned work shifts, work days and hours, shall be assigned by the District. Total time worked in any workday, including the employee’s regular work shift, shall not exceed twelve (12) hours except during an emergency. Required training or in-service taken during the normal workday shall be compensated at the normal rate of pay. Upon request of affected employee(s), substitutes, if available, will be provided for mandatory training or in-service during the normal workday. When an employee is required to attend in-service or training in excess of the employee’s regular workday, they shall be compensated at the normal rate of pay unless the employee exceeds forty (40) hours of work, in which case, District overtime provisions shall apply. Part-time employees shall be entitled to one (1) fifteen (15) minute duty free break. Full-time employees shall be entitled to two (2) fifteen (15) minute duty free breaks. A thirty (30) minute duty free lunch for full time employees shall be scheduled by the District, as near as practical to the middle of the work shift, provided such lunch period is not counted as part of the shift length nor for pay purposes.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District.   • Four Day Work Week Schedule i. When working under the four (4) day work week schedule, Employees shall be paid at double time (2x) the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the regular ten (10) hours per day Monday through Thursday.

  • Five Day Work Week Schedule When working under the five (5) day work week schedule, Employees shall receive one and one-half (1.5x) times their regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours of overtime Monday through Friday. All other overtime Monday through Friday shall be paid at double time (2x).

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week shall be thirty-five (35) hours and is composed of five (5) consecutive standard work days.

  • Work Hours Except in emergencies, the standard work week of full-time unit employees shall normally consist of five (5) days of eight (8) hours each, exclusive of lunch hour. Each employee shall be assigned regular starting and ending times, which shall not be changed without prior notice. Should an employee be required to work during his/her lunch hour, the length of such interruption shall be counted as time worked unless other arrangements are made with his/her supervisor.

  • Standard Work Day The standard work day for non-shift employees shall be seven (7) hours exclusive of the meal period.

  • Flexible Work Hours Upon request of an authorized employee, the State may establish flexible work hours for a Xxxx 00 employee upon agreement between the employee and the employer. Any flexible work hour schedule shall not exceed thirty (30) days.

  • Work Days The work day shall consist of an assigned shift within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing at 12:01 a.m. Whenever practicable and consistent with program needs, employees shall work on five (5) consecutive working days separated by two (2) consecutive days off. Significant or major changes in methods of scheduling shall be first discussed with the Union before changes are made.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.
