Work in a Lower Classification. A. When an employee is assigned by his/her supervisor to perform the duties of a position classified in a grade lower than that in which the employee performs his/her duties, he/she will be compensated at his/her regular rate of pay as if performing his/her regular duties. B. An employee who is assigned by his/her supervisor to perform overtime work in a lower classification shall have overtime compensation computed at the employee's regular rate of compensation. C. It is the right of the Employer to assign members of the bargaining unit such tasks and duties as may be needed to meet the operational needs of the University and its subdivisions.
