CODE OF EXCELLENCE. Section 10.01 The parties to this agreement recognize that to meet the needs of our customers, both employer and employee must meet the highest levels of performance, professionalism, and productivity. The Code of Excellence has proven to be a vital element in meeting the customers’ expectations. Therefore each IBEW local union and NECA chapter shall implement a Code of Excellence Program. The program shall include minimum standards as required by the IBEW and NECA.

CODE OF EXCELLENCE. The parties to this Agreement recognize that to meet the needs of our customers, both employer and employee must meet the highest levels of performance, professionalism, and productivity. The Code of Excellence has proven to be a vital element in meeting the customers’ expectations. Therefore, each IBEW local union shall implement a Code of Excellence Program. The program shall include minimum standards as designed by the IBEW and therefore be applied to the work done under this agreement. Each employee, in such a reasonable time, shall have completed a certifiable “code of excellence” class and a copy of the certification be maintained by employee and site local union.

CODE OF EXCELLENCE. The IBEW Code of Excellence is IBEW members demonstrating pride in membership and instilled craftsmanship by leaving lasting impressions of productivity and quality workmanship on every project we perform. It is IBEW members:  Performing the highest quality and quantity of work.  Utilizing skills and abilities to the maximum.  Exercising safe and productive work practices. The IBEW Code of Excellence is IBEW members building a job right the first time, bringing it to completion on schedule and under budget, thus prompting our customers to again employ the IBEW on future projects. The IBEW Code of Excellence is IBEW members collectively subscribing to, and pursuing, a higher standard of work ethics. The IBEW Code of Excellence proclaims to all that IBEW members will: Come to work on time, fit for duty and ready to work. Obey recognized customer and employer work rules. Demonstrate zero tolerance for alcohol and substance abuse. Exercise proper safety, health, and sanitation practices. Own up to ‘8 for 8’ and be on the job unless otherwise allowed or authorized to leave. Follow safe, reasonable, and legitimate management directives. Encourage respect for customer’s rights and property, as well as for others on the job. eXercise the skills and abilities of the trade. Care for tools and equipment provided by the employer. Eliminate waste and other forms of property destruction, including graffiti. Limit lunch and break times to allocated periods; adhere to start and quit times. Leave inappropriate behavior to those of lesser knowledge. Employ the proper tool for the job and maintain personal tool responsibilities. Not solicit funds or sell merchandise without the Business Manager’s approval. Curtail idle time and/or pursuit of personal business on the job, including cell phone use. Expel job disruptions and refuse to engage in slowdowns or activities designed to extend the job or create overtime or any other conduct that would cast the IBEW in bad light. Parties agree that no grievance can be brought by Puget Sound Chapter, NECA under this Section.
CODE OF EXCELLENCE. 00 The Parties, with the concurrence of the Owner, support the application and administration of the code of excellence described in Schedule 10 (the “Code of Excellence”).

All projects under this Agreement shall be identified as Code of Excellence projects and all employees shall receive Code of Excellence training. Local #573 is responsible for training all employees prior to hiring unless the contractor agrees to provide training during the new hire process.

CODE OF EXCELLENCE. The IBEW Code of Excellence is helping improve the relationship between IBEW and EAI by reinforcing our common goals of Safety, Professionalism, Accountability, Relationship, and Quality. To ensure the continued success of this effort, the IBEW shall be afforded an opportunity to train all new bargaining unit employees on Code of Excellence standards as soon as practicable.
CODE OF EXCELLENCE. 22.01 The Parties, with the concurrence of the Owner, support the application and administration of the “Code of Excellence” contained in Schedule “B”. 22.02 The Parties agree that they shall deal with the below listed matters on the basis that they will consider each of the items and agree on programs, implementation and administration. Those matters are health and safety, site closures, pre-job markups, training and maximization of the practical use of apprentices, and where appropriate, trainees. 22.03 The Parties agree that they will provide for the implementation of and administration of the program to minimize absenteeism and maximize retention, the commitments to increase productivity, the program of Job Xxxxxxx/supervisor leadership, the program for delivery of training and skills upgrading, and to assist in recruitment. 22.04 The Parties agree to discuss matters of mutual interest pertaining to the Penstock Installation Project with the objective of promoting and maintaining beneficial relations and co-operation between the parties, and to discuss and implement ways to make the Penstock Installation Project successful.
