Common use of Work on Sundays and Public Holidays Clause in Contracts

Work on Sundays and Public Holidays. In the case of continuous work, Sunday shall be deemed to be a workday and the work-free day due as a substitute (substitute day of rest) shall be deemed to be a Sunday, except where existing arrangements provide for another regulation. If a workday which serves as a Sunday happens to be a public holiday, any work rendered on such day shall be remunerated by the holiday pay provided in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. For working hours rendered on work-free workdays, an allowance of 100% shall be due, but only when such work-free day acts as a substitute for a Sunday.
